Re: US National Team Begins World Cup Qualifying on Sunday    By Fox on Friday, June 13, 2008 11:55 AM
I don't really see much of a difference as far as overall team stats are concerned. I think what will mostly determine the US team's success is whether or not their star players have star, breakout performances that ignite the rest of the team, and there's no better stage to do that on than the FIFA World Cup. Take risks - otherwise you're just playing it safe against the world's better teams that will just make you look like another inferior opponent.

Fox: I think you make a really good point. The problem in the past has been the best players on the US team not showing up to play in the World Cup. After watching the Men's U-23 action in March, I think Freddie and Sacha are up to the task. We'll see what happens when they plays against the big boys.

Pure domination. I've never seen anything like it. Here is interesting link about the Barbados team advertising for new players: http://www.faniq.com/blog/Barbados-National-Soccer-Team-Advertises-For-Players-On-Its-Website-Blog-9568
