The ACC Leads the Way with 10 Bowl Eligible Teams

The ACC leads all conferences with 10 bowl eligible teams, while the SEC is second with eight. The Big Ten and Big 12 each have seven bowl eligible squads, while Conference USA now has six teams that have qualified due to wins by Memphis and Southern Miss on the final Saturday of the regular season. There are currently 72 eligible teams with four others alive that need a win in their final game.

Sixty-eight teams are needed to fill the expanded bowl game roster for 2008-09.
